The Tenafly Swim Club offers full-time memberships to all Tenafly residents and welcomes sponsored non-Tenafly residents.

Special Mid-Season Rates ~~ Whether you're an old member who thought you wouldn't be around this summer or tired of the heat and looking for a new, cool and relaxing summer experience ~~ Join us for the rest of the summer at 25% off!

~~ 2010 Membership Dues (Same as 2009) ~~

Bondholding Members -- Dues cover the member, spouse, and unmarried children living under the same roof up to age 30.

Regular Members: $595 + state-mandated 7% tax

Golden Members (30-plus years): $530 + state-mandated 7% tax

Non-resident Sponsored Members ($695 + state-mandated tax) -- A dues-current bondholding member must sign the sponsored member’s form and the form must be returned with payment. Fees cover the member, spouse, and unmarried children living under the same roof up to age 30.

Late Fee ($25, no NJ tax) -- Applicable to all dues not postmarked by May 1st. (Renewing Bond Members Only)

Childcare Provider Fee ($125 + state-mandated 7% tax) -- A special, one-season caregiver membership is available for those members with regular childcare providers that are not part of their immediate household.

Guest Books ($40, no NJ tax) -- Members can purchase Guest Books at the club office (checks only!). Remember, members must accompany their guests at the club, and members are responsible for ensuring that their guests observe the club's rules.

Lost Membership Card ($5, no NJ tax) -- A replacement fee is charged to re-issue any lost or misplaced card.

Bylaws -- The Bylaws of the Tenafly Swim Club, Inc. require all bondholding members to remain current with their annual dues. ~~ Tenafly Swim Club Bylaws (Click this link for Tenafly Swim Club Bylaws)

Redemption of Bonds -- Bond redemption is governed by Article III of the Tenafly Swim Club Bylaws. Article III is printed on the back of every issued Bond Certificate. Redemptions requests must be in writing and accompanied by the original Bond Certificate. All requests will be processed in the order postmarked and according to Article III (Click this link for Article III).

SALES TAX ALERT!!!

Effective on or after October 1, 2006, the State of New Jersey P.L. 2006, c. 44 imposes sales and use tax on the charges for initiation fees, membership fees or dues for access to or use of the property or facilities of a health and fitness, athletic, sporting or shopping club or organization in New Jersey, unless the club or organization's members are predominately age 18 or under. N.J.S.A. 54:32B-3(h).

The Board of Trustees survey of the membership finds that Tenafly Swim Club, Inc., does not meet the State's definition of predominantly age 18 or under.

The State of New Jersey Division of Taxation has been contacted to determine if members of the Tenafly Swim Club, Inc. are required to pay sales tax on their annual dues, new member bonds and other fees. The State of New Jersey Division of Taxation has ruled that members of the Tenafly Swim Club, Inc., are required to pay sales tax on their annual dues.
